  • Athens Sightseeing Half Day with Acropolis Museum (organized and private)

This tour gives you an opportunity to observe the striking contrasts that make Athens such a fascinating city.

 

Our expert guides will take you to see the Panathenaic Stadium where the first Olympic Games of modern times were held in 1896 (short stop).

 

Continue and pass by the Prime Minister’s residence (ex Royal Palace) guarded by the Euzones in their colorful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, the Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, the Constitution Square (Syntagma).

 

On the Acropolis visit the Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: The Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally “the harmony between material and spirit”, the monument that “puts order in the mind”, the Parthenon.

 

Continue and visit the place where at last the statues found their home and admire the wonders of the classical era: The new Acropolis museum.

  • Athens by Night & visit to the Greek Musical Museum (organized or private)

The NEW elegant private Museum of Ancient Greek musical instruments and the Tavern in Plaka.

 

Our evening begins with a short panoramic drive through the City Center and at the slope of the sacred hill you will be able to see, admire and photo the illuminated Acropolis.

 

Next you will visit the Museum and discover the divine origin of Ancient Greek musical instruments and enjoy travelling in the hidden paradise of Ancient Greek music history and sounds.

 

Explore the greatest and only collection around the Universe, of more than 60 reconstructed Ancient Greek musical instruments.

 

Then a pleasant walk through the narrow picturesque streets of Plaka, the old city, will bring you at a Typical Greek Tavern where you will enjoy your dinner following a floor show with live music and Greek Folk Dances in traditional costumes.

  • Athens Food Tour (private)

Each food walking tour includes mouth watering food tastings from the various specialty and food shops that we will pass along the way on a different “off-the-beaten-path” gastronomical route around central Athens. A tour you surely do not want to miss while you are in Athens.

 

Join us to embark on a gastronomical journey through some of the original and historical neighborhoods of Athens. We meet at the Korai street where the tour begins. An array of colors sights and sounds engulf the visitor and, at once, activate the senses.

 

Along the way you will see fruit and spice stalls, colorful and enticing delicatessens, aromatic and tempting bakeries and sweet shops and of course the famous food market of Athens.

Drive along the coastal road, passing the wonderful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni & Varkiza to the most Southern point of Attica, Cape Sounion, where the white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon stand.

 

On the way, you have a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf and the little islands offshore.

 

After visiting the Temple of Poseidon, you have time to walk at leisure on the rocky promontory of Sounion.

  • Delphi (organized or private)

One Day,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00

Drive through the fertile plain of Beotia, crossing the towns of Thebes connected with the tragedy of King Oedipus – Levadia and Arachova (short stop on the way back).

 

Arrive at Delphi, the center of Ancient World – the “Omphalos” (Navel of Earth) – whose prestige extended far beyond the boundaries of the Hellenic World.

 

On the slopes of Mount Parnassus, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty and majesty, lie the ruins of the Sanctuary of Apollo Pythios.

Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo and the Museum containing such masterpieces of Ancient Greek sculpture as the bronze Charioteer and the famous athlete Aghias.
Lunch in the modern village of Delphi, return to Athens by the same route.

  • Argolis (organized or private)

One Day,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00

Leave by the coastal road along the Saronic Gulf to the Corinth Canal, which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea (short stop).

 

Drive to Mycenae, the Homeric city of Atreides, the city “rich in gold” of the ancient poets.

Visit the Lion’s Gate, the Cyclopean Walls, and the Royal Tombs e.t.c.

 

Depart for Nauplion through the fertile plain of Argolis, the picturesque town nestling at the foot of a cliff crowned by the mighty ramparts of the Palamidi Fortress (short photo stop), leave for Epidaurus, to visit the Theatre (4th century B.C.) famous for its astonishing acoustics.

Return to Athens by the National road connecting Epidaurus with Corinth. Lunch in Mycenae.

  • Delphi (organized or private)

Two Days,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00 (2nd day)

2nd day: The whole morning is free for you to see more of the ragged grandeur of Delphi and take photographs to remind you of its beauty. Return to Athens by the same route.

  • Two Days Argolis (organized or private)

Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00 (2nd day)

Participants in this tour will have an afternoon and a morning free in order to see more of the picturesque town of Nauplion that the Venetians called “Naples of Greece”

 

1st day: Depart for the CORINTH CANAL and then on to visit the archaeological site of MYCENAE and the tomb of Agamemnon. Proceed to NAUPLIA. Afternoon free for a visit to the Venetian fortress of PALAMIDI crowning the city. Overnight.

 

2nd day: Nauplion – Epidauros (vis Explore with this 2 day trip from Athens the first capital of modern Greece, Nafplio. Enjoy strolling around the old town, have a coffee beside the sea viewing the Bourtzi islet. In addition you will have the opportunity to visit two UNESCO’S world heritage monuments. Return to Athens.

  • Classical Tour (organized or private)

Three Days,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00 (3rd day)

Prehistory, the Classical period, Roman domination, the Byzantine Empire, the Crusades and Modern times: Greece through the centuries will unfold before you on this three days tour.

 

1st day: Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion (short photo stop), drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games. (Dinner)

 

2nd day: In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Eliad and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi. Overnight. (Dinner)

 

3rd day: In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. A couple of hours free time in Delphi before departing and drive through the village of Arachova, renowned for its colorful rugs and carpets. Return to Athens via Levadia and Thebes. Arrive in Athens early in the evening.

  • Classical Tour (organized or private)

Four Days,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 19.00 (4th day)

Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.

  • Delphi – Meteora Monasteries (organized or private)

Two Days

1st day: Leave for Delphi via Thebes, Levadia and the picturesque village of Arachova, on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, arrive in Delphi and visit the Archaeological Site. After the visit depart for Kalambaka, passing through picturesque villages and towns of Central Greece. Dinner and overnight.

 

2nd day: Visit Meteora and enjoy a unique and most impressive scenery with ageless Monasteries, containing priceless historical and religious treasures, standing between earth and sky atop huge rocks. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument), arrive in Athens early in the evening.

  • Ancient Corinth (organized or private)

Half Day,      Dep. 08.45 – Ret. 14.00 approximately

Leave Athens and drive South West until we reach the Corinth Canal which connects the Aegean Sea with the Ionian Sea (short stop).

 

Drive on and visit the ancient town of Corinth where St. Paul lived and preached for two years.

 

The remains of the City, which include the Agora (market place) and Apollo’s Temple (6th century B.C.) clearly show how rich and important Corinth was in Ancient Times.

 

A short stop at the Site of the Ancient Port of Cehries, where St. Paul disembarked, will conclude the visit.

 

Return to Athens in time for lunch.

​

  • Hydra-Poros-Aegina (organized)

One Day Cruise,      Dep. 08.15 – Ret. 19.15 approximately

 

In the morning we take you by bus, from Athens to Piraeus for your embarkation to the cruise boat. At 8h15 the ship sails for Hydra.

Here you have free time for a walk or a swim.

 

Embarkation and sail for Poros, the smallest of the three islands, separated from the Peloponnese by a narrow strait and offering a most enchanting view of Poros Town.

Your time at leisure in Poros will be about 60 minutes.

 

The lunch will be served during the voyage. Time will fly quickly….and after a two hour trip we shall arrive to our last port of call, the island of Aegina. Where you have time for a swim.

 

Optional excursion, by bus, to the fine preserved Temple of Afea Athena. Embarkation for the voyage of return to the port. Arrive to Piraeus, late in the afternoon.
