Peloponnese and Delphi four days tour with Mistras (3 overnights)

 
Visit of :

Epidauros / Nauplion / Mycenae / Mystras / Olympia / Nafpaktos / Delphi / Arachova

 
1st day:

Leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal.

Drive on and visit the theatre of Epidauros, famous its remarkable acoustics.

Then proceed to the town of the Nauplion, drive on to Mycenae and visit the Archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon.

Then depart for Mystras through eastern Peloponnese.

Overnight in Sparta, the main rival of Athens in the classical ages.


2nd day:

Visit of Mystras, with the fortress and the churches of the Byzantine period.

Then depart for Ancient Olympia through the mountainous central Peloponnese.

Overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic games.


3rd day:

In the morning visit the archaelogical site with the sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the ancient stadium and the Archaeological Museum.

Then drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian bay from Rion to Antirrion.

Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi.

Overnight.


4th day:

In the morning visit the oracle of Apollo and the Museum.

Depart for Athens, through Arachova, a small town stated at the foot of mount Parnassus, and Thebes.

Arrive in Athens in the evening.
